Bratislava City Days – Winter Harbor, Propeller, and Devín
We are an inseparable part of Bratislava—its history, present, and future. That’s why we proudly support the Bratislava City Days, taking place on April 26-27, 2025. To mark this special occasion, we are offering a unique opportunity to explore the Winter Harbor, a place that is normally inaccessible to the public, as part of our Bratislava Circuit sightseeing cruise. We are extending the Bratislava Circuit to include a visit to this fascinating location, where you will see the historic tugboat Šturec, a ship hall from World War II, and impressive cranes in action.

Celebrating Bratislava City Days on the Waves of the Danube!
Explore the Winter Harbor – A Place Rarely Accessible to the Public
Do you know where ships are kept during the winter and where they undergo maintenance? Did you know that ships are lifted out of the water using a ship elevator? Would you like to take a closer look at the massive machinery operating in this unique location?
To mark Bratislava City Days, we are extending our Bratislava Circuit sightseeing cruise to include a visit to the Winter Harbor, offering a rare glimpse into this remarkable place.
The Bratislava Circuit offers the most beautiful views of Bratislava. Departing from the Passenger Port, we will cruise toward Lanfranconi Bridge, where we will turn around. Along the way, we will sail under the New Bridge, offering a breathtaking view of UFO from the water. Right after the bridge, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Bratislava Castle, the changing cityscape beneath the castle, and the lively waterfront along River Park and the PKO Promenade.
On the return journey, we will take in the natural beauty of the opposite riverbank, passing through the Pečniansky Forest and then Sad Janka Kráľa, the oldest public park in Central Europe. The cruise continues past the Old Town, Eurovea, the city’s new skyscraper, and the striking Octahedral Body sculpture by Viktor Frešo, before sailing under Apollo Bridge and Prístavný Bridge, entering Winter Harbor.
In Winter Harbor, we will first explore the Southern Basin, where the historic ship elevator and the tugboat Šturec are located. We will also visit the ship hall, which survived targeted bombing during World War II, when the harbor served the German Reich. The cruise will then continue to the Northern Basin, where we will see the bulk cargo transshipment area, featuring towering cranes and heavy machinery in action.
The exact route of the cruise will depend on availability and the occupancy of the basins.
The Bratislava Circuit with the extended Winter Harbor visit lasts 1 hour and is available at no additional cost.
Ticket prices remain the same as for the regular Bratislava Circuit:
- €15 / adult
- €11 / child (ages 2-12)
Special Bratislava City Days Schedule:

- Cruise times: 10:00 AM & 3:30 PM
Ride the Propeller Ferry for Free During Bratislava City Days!
The Propeller ferry was once a popular and frequently used way to cross from Old Town to Petržalka. Today, it is a historical memory, but during Bratislava City Days, the legendary Propeller will come back to life!
With pride and a strong connection to Bratislava, we are once again providing the city with a boat for free, allowing you to enjoy a scenic ferry ride between the riverbanks and take in unique views of Bratislava’s landmarks.
Take this opportunity to reminisce about the past and share a piece of Bratislava’s history with a new generation—back when Old Town and Petržalka were not yet connected by multiple bridges.

Devín Castle Cruise – A Journey Through History
April 26 & 27, 2025
Departure: 10:00 AM from Passenger Port
Cruise duration: 1.5 hours one way
Stopover at Devín: 2 hours
Return: 1:30 PM from Devín
Arrival back in Bratislava: 2:00 PM
Unlike the Bratislava Circuit, which ends near Lanfranconi Bridge, this cruise continues further upstream, offering stunning natural landscapes and reaching the historic border between two countries and two former worlds. The symbolic meaning of the border and freedom of movement serves as a reminder that crossing the river was once impossible—an important topic for conversations about history.
Upon arrival, we will dock directly beneath Devín Castle, a national cultural monument perched 212 meters above sea level. The castle was built on the site of a Roman structure and a Great Moravian settlement, first recorded in 864 AD as Dowina. In 1809, Napoleon’s troops destroyed the castle, yet it remains a breathtaking place worth exploring.
Ticket prices:
- Round-trip: €24 (adults) / €18 (children 2-12 years)
- One-way (Bratislava → Devín): €22 (adults) / €17 (children 2-12 years)
- One-way (Devín → Bratislava): €19 (adults) / €16 (children 2-12 years)
